The latest issue of Evotel’s Evolution Magazine features a groundbreaking collaboration between Evotel and the South African Consortium of Air Quality Monitoring (SACAQM). This partnership is deploying AI-powered air quality sensors across Gauteng to provide real-time pollution data and support policymakers in combating air pollution.
Leveraging Evotel’s fibre network, the project ensures seamless data collection, using cost-effective AI technology developed with support from CERN, the National Research Foundation, and the Department of Science and Innovation. This initiative aims to make high-quality environmental data more accessible, helping both authorities and communities take informed action.
